This installation reflects an ongoing scientific research project aimed at exploring the potential beneficial effects of icaros on human cells.
Icaros are healing songs from the Amazonian tradition, acquired by "curanderos" through the consumption of medicinal plants and performed during healing rituals.
The exhibit integrates confocal fluorescence microscope data captured by Giulia Villari and field recordings provided by Sara Bertazzini.
It was showcased on different media supports (screens, projections) in Torino at the Museo Nazionale della Montagna and it was installed in Bologna in connection with the Resilienze Festival
The data underwent processing in Derivative Touchdesigner with the objective of visualizing cellular interactions using a visual language that is more familiar to us.
