DND Amsterdam

DND Amsterdam needed a lighting system that could make low-ceiling areas feel immersive, adapt to different event formats, and deliver a distinctive spatial identity. Custom fixtures and pixel-level LED control turn the ceiling into a flexible 3D light structure.

Site condition and spatial constraint

The dancefloor had a low ceiling and tight circulation. The lighting system had to make these areas feel immersive and expansive, support day-to-day operation across different event formats, and deliver a distinctive spatial identity.

3D LED ceiling with mirror depth

We took inspiration from immersive infinity-room environments, conceiving the ceiling as a three-dimensional light structure with an integrated mirror ceiling rather than a conventional fixture layout. Hundreds of LED bars and mirrors extend the perceived volume of the space, forming a flexible 3D LED canvas. The tunnels connecting the two areas surround visitors with light and motion, creating an immersive transition. Content across the system can be adapted to different event and music formats.

Pixel-level control and operational design

The system enables precise effects and gradients across the full structure. Despite the complexity, the control setup is designed for practical use, allowing staff to create and run visual looks without friction.
