Brief and internal R&D context
This internal R&D project was developed with Global Produce in Tokyo to demonstrate the possibilities of virtual production. The aim was to create digital environments that could be filmed and used in sales presentations.
Seasonal environments in Unreal Engine
Refractiv developed the environments, look development, animation, and Unreal Engine production. The scenes were structured around seasonal changes, allowing the work to move across different atmospheres while remaining coherent as one visual direction.
The project explored how Unreal Engine can be used in spatial settings to create environments that keep changing over time. Seasonal shifts, weather conditions, and responsive behaviours open the possibility for spaces that do not remain fixed, but continue to transform in relation to atmosphere and use. The environments were developed to make that capacity visible, showing how virtual production can carry mood, variation, and spatial change within one visual framework.
